Soda Kiln built in Flasher, ND using Super Duty High Alumina hardbrick, 3/16” mild steel framing, and 2, 300k BTU/hr Power Burners set to 9” WC Propane. Firing time approximately 12-14hrs to Cone 10. This is my favorite kiln to build and fire, as it is the most versatile design for an individual, small group, school, art center, etc. We fired with wood from cone 012 to cone 11 (no gas) and added soda with great results. Kiln fired evenly, and easily.
